Timing your Bodleian Wedding – Small Weddings

Thinking about having your wedding at the Bodleian, but not quite sure how things will run on the day? Well do see below where we have carefully listed all of our timelines for all of our small wedding packages we run here at the Bodleian!

Small Ceremony

Hire time: any 2 hours between 09:00 – 16:00
Venue: Convocation House & Chancellors Court
Availability: Weekdays and Sundays
Fee:
2025- £2,700 2026 – £3,000 2027 – £3,300
Maximum Guests: 50

Suggested Timings:
10:00 Venue opens
10:30 Guests arrive
11:00 Wedding ceremony
11:30 Photos
11;45 Guest leave 11.45
12:00 Venue close

Ceremony & Lunch

Hire time: 10.00 – 17.00
Venue: Divinity School, Convocation House & Chancellors Court
Availability: Weekdays and Sundays
Maximum Guests: 50
Fee:
2025 – £7,400 2026 – £7,800 2027 – £8,200


Suggested Timings:
10:00 Venue open for set up-10:00am
10:30 Guests arrive for Ceremony
11:00 Ceremony in Convocation House
11:30 Drinks in the Divinity School or if nice weather outside by the Wren door
12:30 Lunch
15:45 Guest to depart
17:00 Venue to close

Ceremony & Evening Meal

Venue: Divinity School, Convocation House & Chancellors Court
Availability: Weekdays and Sundays
Maximum Guests: 50
Fee
2025: £8,900 2026: £9,200 2027: £9,500


Suggested Timings:
16:00 Venue open for set up
16:30 Guests arrive
17:00 Ceremony in Convocation house
17;30 Drinks reception in the Divinity School or if nice weather outside by the Wren door
18:30 Wedding meal (including speeches and cake cutting)
20;30 Evening reception with low level music
21:15 Guests depart
22:30 Venue closes
