First blog post from Weddings at the Bodleian Libraries!

Welcome to the first ever blog post from the Bodleian Libraries events team!

My first post is going to be about who I am, what I do and what this blog is all about.

My name is Hannah and I am the Wedding & Events Coordinator at the Bodleian and  I am really excited to be able to share with you what I do on a day-to-day basis, any top tips from a Wedding Coordinator’s point of view and anything and everything else Weddings.  I arrived at the Bodleian full of energy, ideas and enthusiasm, and I think the combination of these three are definitely paying off.  There are many things currently in the pipeline for the Bodleian weddings which I am extremely excited about, and will reveal all very soon!

I am probably quite the typical wedding coordinator (however stereotypical that sounds).  I am organised, love everything pretty, am very particular, keen on symmetry and my attention to detail borders on obsessive.  I tend to get creative images in my head and then can’t shake them out until they are complete!  Thankfully, my tendency for over analysing even the smallest detail is something that is rewarded in this business, so weddings is definitely the right area of work for me.
